This Privacy Policy outlines how Roguetrove Ventures (OPC) Private Limited ("we", "our", or "us"), located in Kudlu, Bangalore, Karnataka, India, collects, processes, and safeguards information obtained through your access to and use of BeggingAI (https://beggingai.com).

We respect your privacy and are committed to maintaining transparent, responsible, and secure data practices in compliance with applicable Indian data protection laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), as applicable.

2. Information We Collect and Process

We only collect the minimal information necessary to deliver and operate the BeggingAI website:

A. Voluntarily Submitted Contributor Information

  • Display Name: A chosen name or nickname voluntarily entered into the post-payment acknowledgment field (e.g., for display on the Recent Enablers or Leaderboard feeds).
  • Public Display Preference: Whether you opt-in to display your contribution publicly or remain anonymous.
  • Support Communications: Name, email address, transaction reference, and correspondence content when you contact us at hello@beggingai.com.

B. Transaction & Payment Reference Records

  • Payment Gateway References: Razorpay Order ID, Razorpay Payment ID, payment amount in INR, payment status (paid/failed), and timestamp.
  • Selected Interaction Tier: The specific contribution level selected (e.g., ₹10, ₹29, ₹49, ₹99, ₹499, or custom amount).

C. Technical & Browser Data

  • Device & Network Data: Browser type, operating system, device class, and general network telemetry.
  • Hashed IP Data: One-way hashed IP representations utilized solely for temporary rate-limiting and DDoS/abuse prevention.
  • Local Browser Storage: We use client-side HTML5 LocalStorage solely to remember your visual theme preference (begging_theme: light or dark) and prevent repetitive comedy poster variants (begging_poster_history). No tracking cookies are used.

3. Sensitive Payment Credentials & Transaction Records

BeggingAI does not store sensitive payment credentials such as complete card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs or banking passwords. Payment processing is handled through Razorpay.

We may retain transaction identifiers and related records (such as Razorpay Order ID, Razorpay Payment ID, transaction amount, date/time, and voluntary display information) required for payment verification, customer support, security, accounting and legal purposes.

All sensitive payment credential entry and verification occurs securely through Razorpay's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure in accordance with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) payment guidelines.

4. Purposes of Data Processing

We process collected data exclusively for lawful purposes:

  • To verify, reconcile, and record one-time digital contribution transactions.
  • To deliver real-time digital entertainment interactions (timer extensions, animations, character responses).
  • To display public supporter acknowledgments in accordance with your explicit preferences.
  • To maintain accurate financial, taxation, and statutory accounting records as required under Indian law.
  • To investigate technical bugs, duplicate charges, or payment inquiries submitted to customer support.
  • To protect the website against malicious automated bots, fraudulent activities, and security threats.

5. Public Display of Contributor Information

When you complete a voluntary payment, you are given the choice to enter a display name and select whether your contribution should be displayed publicly on the Recent Enablers feed or the Hall of Questionable Generosity leaderboard.

If you check the box to allow public display, your submitted display name and contribution amount will be visible to other visitors. If you do not enter a name or uncheck the box, your contribution will be labeled as "Anonymous Human".

You may request removal or anonymization of any publicly displayed name at any time by emailing hello@beggingai.com with your transaction details.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers or data brokers. We share minimal transaction data only with essential infrastructure providers:

  • Razorpay: For secure payment gateway processing and transaction verification.
  • Cloud & Web Hosting Infrastructure: For reliable website uptime and database storage.
  • Legal & Regulatory Authorities: Only when strictly required by enforceable judicial process or applicable statutory law.

7. Data Retention & Security

We maintain reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect transaction records against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. Transaction logs are retained only as long as necessary for tax compliance, accounting audits, and statutory obligations.
